Sweet Savannah– Don’t Forget Me!

Oh, what fun–  I do hope my first trip to this Grand Old Southern Lady of the South won’t be my last! My stay started off with good and just got better.  You can scroll back a post or two for my Paula Deen moment at The Lady and Her Sons. GOOD EATING doesn’t even begin to tell the story. Afterwards, I was blessed to be able to pick up  my BFF at the airport so she could finish the second leg of the tour with me. Of course, she had me laughing from the time she landed and I haven’t stopped yet.

Monday morning we did a little sightseeing in the historic district. Hmmm…I don’t think I’ll dwell on my SHINING MOMENT when I stepped off a curb and went down, down, down, to the charming little street. Red said she was talking to me one minute and I was gone the next! Perhaps one should watch where one is going instead of TALKING, yes?! ThanktheGoodLord I didn’t hurt myself, break anything, or become road kill under the hooves of a passing horse and carriage full of tourists.

But I digress…Let’s get to the booksigning where I got to make new friends and visit with old ones. Joanie hosted me at The Book Lady Bookstore right there in the middle of the historic district.  Joanie, our picture came out too blurry. 🙁

This lady brought me a wonderful story. I stacked it up on the others to tell y’all later!

Oh, we should have caught the total body shot on this one. This Freader came from work. She had her tennis shoes on to hoof it over to the signing and back. I appreciated that!

This sweet new male Freader  (friend reader) heard my radio interview the night before. I think he came in strictly to see what face matched the voice! And that’s longtime porcher and freader Tommye who brought her buddy Pokey to meet me. Big fun!

I hope to come back soon, Savannah! I’ll let you know if I get a certain book club/speaking engagement hooked up. 🙂 THANKS again, Joanie!

Hugs,
Shellie
