Easy Cheesecake Treats for Your Valentine

Hello folks and welcome back to the All Things Southern kitchen. Today’s recipe goes out to my sweetie! I made my man some Easy Cheesecake Treats for Valentine’s Day and I’m here to walk you through my recipe.

“Easy Cheesecake Treats for Your Valentine”

1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese

⅓ cup sugar

½ tsp lemon juice

1 egg

4 graham crackers

2 tbsp softened butter or margarine

So, I should’ve saved y’all one of the prettier ones– this one kind of got the leftover nut fragments and a few hunks of berries but I still think you can taste the scrumptious through the screen! Let’s get cooking!

I’ve gotten us started by preheating our oven to 375 degrees. Then I placed these 12 cutesy cupcake liners in our muffin tin. I’ve also prepared the base for our treats by crushing four graham crackers and processing the crumbs with two tablespoons butter. We’ll divide this base equally among liners.

Next, we’ll blend 8 ounces of cream cheese with 1/3 cup of sugar. Then we’ll add 1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and one egg. We’ll mix this well and layer it over our graham cracker crumb base and bake for 13-15 minutes. Your oven may vary so you’ll want to watch it. Basically you want the cheesecake mixture to be firm.

When you’re ready to impress your sweetie, take 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and melt it with 1/4 cup of half and half. Stir until smooth and pour over your cheesecake treats. If you’d like you could also top with chopped strawberries or your favorite nuts– or all the above!  Happy Valentine’s Day from the All Things Southern kitchen to yours!

Hugs, Shellie
