Hey y’all! One of my favorite promises in all of God’s word is that He will satisfy those who hunger for Him. But what if we don’t hunger for Him? Are we trapped in our lukewarm lives? Thank the Good Lord, the answer is no! We really can learn to feast on the Bread of Heaven instead of filling ourselves with all that’s passing away. I know this because God’s doing this in me and I’m eager to share my experience with you in my new book, Devotions for The Hungry Heart, chasing Jesus six days from Sunday. It’s full of simple stories grounded in Scripture and framed around six heart positions I’ve identified that cultivate an ever-increasing appetite for Jesus. Some of us are emotional eaters; we reach for food to fill our starving souls. Some of us reach for our smart phones for company and affirmation. And some of us shop and surf to try and fill these empty caverns. But, again, the good news—we really can learn to reach for Jesus!
