Blond Brownies

Welcome back to the All Things Southern Kitchen. We’re making “Blond Brownies” today. And for the record, it’s not because they’re so easy “a blonde can make ‘em!” Heavens no– I’m surrounded by smart blondes in this family! They get their name because they call for white chocolate, not brown. Let me show you how easy they are and you can serve ’em to your family, browns, brunettes, redheads– they’ll all love ’em!

  • ¼ cup veggie oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • ¾ cup self-rising flour
  • Half teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

We’ll start by blending a fourth cup of vegetable oil with a cup of brown sugar. Then we’ll stir in one beaten egg and three fourths cup of self-rising flour. We’re almost done, already! Just add a half teaspoon of vanilla flavoring, a ½ cup of chopped nuts, and a cup of white chocolate chips. Stir and put in a greased 9×13 baking pan and bake for twenty-five minutes at 350 degrees. And we’re done!

Enjoy my Blond Brownies, they’re good eating from the ATS kitchen to yours!

Hugs,
Shellie
