Anthrax in LP?

Hey y’all! Today is National Holistic Pet Day! I looked it up, it means we should be considerate of our pets’ physical, psychological, and social lives.

Hmmm…I try to feed Dixie the best dog food and I try to take her on a walk as many afternoons as I can and I do my best to socialize with her daily. However, with a to-do list stacked up higher than my head, The Squirrel Patrol Czar is gonna have to tend to her own psychologial issues. And yes, she has some. Notwithstanding her tennis ball issues that I’ve written about at length, there is her basic zaniness.  I know what you’re thinking. I’ve read that pets pick up their owners’ traits, too. Can we stay on point, here? We’re talking about Dixie and I thought I’d give y’all a few pics for illustration.

A couple days ago we were out for our evening stroll when I twittered this pic of Dixie Belle:

Not five seconds later, she found a white substance in the ditch to roll around in. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee don’t ask me why, I have no idea. It had zero odor to attract her, no perfume de’ dead animaal’ or anything. I called my husband asap to ask him what it could be and if I thought she might be at risk of serious injury what with it being up her nose and in her mouth. (We haven’t had any Anthrax attacks in LP, but you can never be too careful, right?) Nah. Phil said it was likely lime if it didn’t smell (farming related) and she would probably be okay.

…at least physcially, but again, the mental part is up for dicussion.

So, what’s the zaniest thing your pet has done lately?

Hugs,
Shellie
